ECADF | The Last six months must be considered – and may most likely be forever considered – among the most eventful and consequential in Ethiopia’s recent history. From a sitting Prime Minister accepting blame for all the mistakes of his party to inviting all opposition parties to start a democratic process; from the signing of the Peace Treaty with Eritrea to giving a new direction to the economy; from freeing tens of thousands of political prisoners to reviving the free press, the changes have been almost dizzying. Not even the best analysts could have predicted such rapid turn of events.
